Finance & Supply Chain Management guides
Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management — the enterprise ERP: ledger, dimensions, LCS and One Version, DMF and dual-write, planning, warehousing, manufacturing, and Commerce.
Finance and Supply Chain Management are the enterprise tier of Dynamics 365 ERP — the descendants of Dynamics AX, sharing one application core and one database, and usually implemented together as what the market still calls F&O. They are built for groups with many legal entities, currencies, and statutory regimes, and for operations that have outgrown Business Central: multi-site manufacturing, directed warehousing, process industries, large-scale retail.
The guides cover the platform (Lifecycle Services, One Version updates, the data management framework, dual-write to Dataverse), the finance modules (ledger and dimensions, year-end, tax, fixed assets, budgeting, consolidations), supply chain (master planning, warehouse mobile workflows, transportation, quality), the three manufacturing modes, and Commerce, the retail platform that presumes F&O underneath it. X++ and form extensions cover the development side.
Start with the two overviews, then environments and LCS, then the finance fundamentals. Implementation methodology, cutover, and release management for F&O projects live in the implementation section.
